Sensational Nigerian singer, Ahmed Ololade popularly known as Asake has emerged as the most streamed Nigerian artist on Spotify for 2024.
The streaming giant made this known during its annual end-of-year recap, ‘Wrapped,’ which highlights global listeners’ music preferences.Asake’s dominance extended beyond individual streams, as his albums Work of Art, Lungu Boy, and Mr. Money With The Vibe secured top spots among the most-streamed Nigerian albums of the year.
His colleague, Young Jonn’s album Jiggy Forever took the crown for the most-streamed album of 2024, showcasing the diversity in listeners’ choices.
Meanwhile, Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy was named Nigeria’s most-exported artist and the only Nigerian to break into the UK’s top 100 artists for 2024.
